Daily closing spot price (FOB) of North Sea Brent crude oil, in US dollars per barrel (1 barrel = 159 litres), as published by the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA). It is the reference price for oil in Europe, and diesel prices follow it. EIA publishes each day’s price once a week (usually on Wednesday), so the latest price can be a few days old.
